Los Silos – Skeleton, Cliffs and Pool

Near the town of Los Silos, there’s a short, stroller-friendly trip that offers a unique experience, especially for the little ones.

The Giant Whale Skeleton

The main attraction? A massive whale skeleton that draws kids back time and again. Locals told us you might even catch a glimpse of a whale from the shore.

Convenient Parking and Playa del Puertito

Park for free in the parking lot right by the sea. Just there, you’ll find the small beach, Playa del Puertito, though, to be honest, it’s not our top pick for swimming.

A Windy Rest Stop

The view from the whale skeleton is very peaceful. Unfortunately, we didn’t spot any whales yet, but the scenery alone is worth the trip.

You can rest on the benches here, but be prepared for a bit of wind.

A Scenic Walk Along the Cliffs With Pool

Behind the skeleton, there’s a lovely walk along the cliffs where you’ll likely cross paths with local fishermen. You can even take a dip in the small natural pools – Carcho Los Chochos.

A Place to Recharge

We really like this place and return here from time to time to recharge and soak in the beauty.
